Melanoplinae 01 - Melanoplus sanguinipes - male

Melanoplinae 01 - Melanoplus sanguinipes - Male
Canyon Park, Bothell, Snohomish County, Washington, USA
October 4, 2008
Found on a rainy morning in the upper foliage of a low growing Rhododendron in the parking lot of a Washington Mutual.

Moved
Moved from Melanoplus.

Melanoplus species
This is a male, but it is hard to say for sure which species, though it looks a lot like M. sanguinipes and probably that's what it is. A view showing the tip of the abdomen (if you have one) might make it possible to be sure.

Unfortunately
Unfortunately I was not able to get any other angles as I was with family and we were running late, Sorry!
