I don't know which little fly this is.
This was taken about midnight. I posted it here because I thought it curios that such a small, vulnerable fly would spend the night resting on the end of a squash blossom. There were others sprinkled around in a similar pose.
They paid no attention to me disturbing the night.
I don't know if this is a keeper, I thought someone might find it interesting also. Feel free to Frass it.

Resting in strange places...
It might be that they normally spend the night like that, but see the discussion here for an idea of what else might be going one here...
