Unidentified Dark Skipper - Lerema accius

Unidentified Dark Skipper - Lerema accius
Cape Canaveral National Seashore - North End, Volusia or Brevard County, Florida, USA
January 3, 2009
Size: Medium Skipper
It looks like a Dusted Skipper, but that doesn't make sense (or does it?) during the first week of January on the East coast of Florida on a massive sandbar covered in prickly pear and slash palm (no bluestem in sight). It looks too dark to be a Clouded Skipper, but that's my best guess. The spot pattern doesn't seem right for Twin-spot, either.
