I've been told this is the place where people know their bugs! I have never had any bugs where I've lived - and recently moved to the DC-metro area. The picture is of 3 bugs recently caught in an apt I just moved into. Please help! The condo building is 25 years old...11 floors high, and while this unit is completely re-done, I know you are "only as clean as your neighbors." That's what scares me!:) I think bug #1 is a stink bug...they are harmless, right? #2 is a cockroach, I think. CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS? (This was caught in the middle of my bedroom floor, with the lights on!) #3 is a ______. Big mystery with bug #3. I found one of #3in the apt., two of #3 in the door frame, and two of #3 in the building hallway. Any ideas? Thank you SO much in advance!

Can you please crop/modify your image
so that you can exclude the stinkbug (and perhaps move that to the appropriate species page as well)? We don't have many German cockroach images (few adults and even fewer nymphs) in the guide and I think this pic may be suitable for an addition to the species page. Thanks!

#3.
Number three is a "brown marmorated stink bug," Halyomorpha halys, somewhat recently introduced from overseas. Harmless, but has the habit of trying to overwinter on or inside of homes in large numbers. A nuisance at worst....

I think Eric meant #1 is a "brown marmorated stink bug," Halyomorpha halys, somewhat recently introduced from overseas.

german cockroach
#2 looks like a german cockroach, and #3 looks like a german cockroach nymph... not completely sure though.

Thanks so much! Terrible news, but at least I know what I'm dealing with.
