I know flies are tough. I am pegging this one at Family: Muscidae. I am not expecting to get much further - but it would be nice.

Fannid...
Wing details indicate a muscid in the family Fannidae. This is a female. After looking at that head shot, I wouldn't want that coming at me in a dark alley. Nice photos.
