Prenolepis imparis male? or more likely Solenopsis species.

 
I agree
This one is most likely to be a Fire Ant male. A member of the Myrmicinae anyway, while Prenolepis is a true-born Formicinae.

 
I have a few other photos. What angle would be the most useful for identification?

 
I think this set of pics should be already enough...
for any North-American expert to identify this guy at least at the genus level (I ignore whether S. invicta and S. xyloni males can be told apart from pictures alone).
This one pic is especially good, although wings are somewhat concealing the postpetiolus region.
