As Dave thought - however putting a species name on this is not within the realm of capability within the genus at this time, though I should mention that L. externus does occur in our area.

That's interesting how the cases of the same species can be so different.

Limnephilus
looks like Limnephilus externus but I have not seen larvae from the east. L. externus is very common in western mountains ponds and lakes and makes many different case types apparently depending at least in part on what is attractive to the larvae. Two larvae from the same pond may use totally different materials yet be collected in the same net.
