Yellow Jacket or mimic? - Vespula squamosa - male

Yellow Jacket or mimic? - Vespula squamosa - Male
Lake Placid, Highlands County, Florida, USA
December 23, 2006
There were dozens of these on the same bush. The bush also had an aphid infestation, I believe they were going after them. Other wasps and ladybugs were on the same bush. These seemed very docile considering yellow jacket's reputation.
