Umber Shadowdragon - Neurocordulia obsoleta - female

Umber Shadowdragon - Neurocordulia obsoleta - Female
south of Martha's Chapel Road east of Jordan Lake, Chatham County, North Carolina, USA
May 11, 2003
This is a female, judging by the terminal abdominal appendages. Close-up of same individual is in linked images. As of 2017, I believe this is still the only individual of this species I have seen.

Curiously, the photo in Dragonflies and Damselflies of Texas and the South-Central United States (1) was taken in nearby Pittsboro, North Carolina.
