Diceroprocta olympusa
Florida Scrub Cicada or "Olympic Cicada"

This species always has a somewhat dorso-ventrally compressed appearance.

A very common species ranging across two thirds + of the FL peninsula. It ranges southward into the Florida keys, and north along much of the Panhandle.

While most are brown or reddish-brown, a few can be greenish in color (and not just when teneral!).
