Bumble Bee - Bombus pensylvanicus - female

Bumble Bee - Bombus pensylvanicus - Female
Lake Placid, Highlands County, Florida, USA
August 17, 2008
OK, until I joined bugguide, I thought Bumble Bees were a species and had no idea there were so many varieties. Looking through the guide pages, this looks like Bombus pensylvanicus / American Bumble Bee, but I would be grateful for confirmation of my newbie best guess.

Bombus pensylvanicus
female

Wow!
I got one right? I guess even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile. Thank you Dr. Ascher.

Wow to the images, too!
Tim, whatever you 'think' you lack in ID skills is more than made up for by the quality of images you are posting. Thank you for sharing!

Wow,
thank you Mr. Eaton. I recently bought your field guide, so I am taking that as high praise indeed.
