Sinea rileyi Montandon
ID accomplished in part by comparison to an essentially identical specimen I collected in southeastern AZ. New species for BG.

This species of Sinea is separated from species other than S. defecta and S. anacantha by the extremely blunt anteocular tubercles (distinctly spiniform in other species). S. anacantha Hussey has the dorsoapical spine reduced to a tubercle. S. defecta is separated by lack of a longitudinal dusky membrane spot and by having a connexival pattern similar to S. spinipes. Furthermore the distinct posterolateral translucent fascia of each connexival segment is specifically mentioned in the revision by Caudell (1901).

Moved from Sinea.
