tiny fly

tiny fly
Lake Placid, Highlands County, Florida, USA
March 12, 2009
Size: about the size of a gnat,
Smallest insect I have ever photographed, even at 1:1 macro it occupied few pixels. It was hidden on the back side of an avocado blossom

moving to milichiidae
since it was so far back in the ID request

Milichiidae
is my best guess but I am not certain.

Thanks
Matthias. It is not the best shot I know, hard to focus on something so small.
