Identification
Adult: cream-colored forewing with variable brown markings usually covering more than half the wing surface and white hindwing.(1)

Caterpillar: black with uniform bright yellow dorsal stripe, broken sub-dorsal stripe, broad fragmented lateral stripe.

"Manitoba to Northern Maine south to Pennsylvania and Great Lakes States" (2)
Food
larvae feed on Hound's tongue,(Cynoglossum officinale (1)
