Unknown insect on our Golden Euonymus - Unaspis euonymi

Unknown insect on our Golden Euonymus - Unaspis euonymi
Earlysville, Albemarle County, Virginia, USA
March 22, 2008
Size: smaller than a pin head
Sorry I couldn't get a closer view of these bugs. Looking under a microscope, I can't even see feet or antenae. All the leaves on our Golden Euonymus are covered with these tiny insects, and the leaves are falling off.

Euonymous scale?
