Eastern Parson Spider - Herpyllus ecclesiasticus

Eastern Parson Spider - Herpyllus ecclesiasticus
Warrenville, DuPage County, Illinois, USA
March 22, 2009
Size: 15-20mm
Found living behind a picture frame in my office. Had one in the shower the other day, too. These spiders are black and hairy and they give me the willies. The one in the shower? Down the drain, sorry.. the one behind the picture frame I'll leave for when my flash batteries recharge.

Spiders are taking our jobs now?
Oh, I see, you found it in the office....:-)

Parson Spider
The markings look like a Parson Spider. Harmless, and often found indoors.
