Taeniopteryx?

There were many stoneflies basking on boardwalks near water. This one was somewhat distant from the others.

I keyed one of the other, distant, stoneflies to Taeniopteryx. (The key requires a bottom view.) I didn't post that one because it seemed to be damaged.

Probably Taeniopteryx, but...
Strophopteryx adults look much the same, so I can only be sure about the family from the photo alone. (If it came from a warm-water stream, that might help to rule out Strophopteryx, which usually favors cold water.)

Environs
This one was basking on a boardwalk in the middle of a small, still pond. Terrain is gentle hills and the Charles River is nearby (but probably out of stonefly flight range).

Hmmm...
I don't know much about Taeniopteryx occurring in ponds. Unless there are some small, cold streams or springs nearby, I suppose that might rule out Strophopteryx. If you keyed others to Taeniopteryx, that would also seem to make that ID more likely.
