I collected this yesterday, so it'll be a couple weeks before I get up to see Don again.

if you have a male
if you have a male and you can get a clear ventral or lateral photo of the hind parts you should be able to put a fairly confident species determination on it. The females are less distinct but you may be able to get to genus if the hind parts are extended and you can get a lateral photo of the parts.

I just added a different one
with the wings damaged so that the abdomen shows here.

good enough
good enough - that is Dolophilodes distinctus. That would have been my guess given the season but the male picture makes the id alot easier.

Maybe not good enough for this one
The male Dolophilodes distinctus was taken at a different site about 30 miles away from this one. I'll wait for Don to take a look at the specimen to be sure.

Please save it for him
In the meantime, the only way that I know to try to distinguish the two would be to get a very clear photo of the venation of the anal area of hindwing. (Dolophilodes distinctus produces "wingless" females at certain times, making identification easier. But this may well be Wormaldia.)

Philopotamidae
I believe this is probably either Wormaldia moesta or Dolophilodes distinctus. Thomas Ames pointed out that they are look-alikes here. If you gave this specimen to Donald, I will await his determination.
