The most distinctive thing I noted about this bee was the small hairs covering its eyes.

Related to Coelioxys.
This is a male cuckoo bee in the Megachilidae family. It may be
Coelioxys
, but I don't think so. There is at least one related genus it might be in, but I can't recall the name. Arg!
