OK, I leafed through the 60 p
OK, I leafed through the 60 pages of Tachinid images, but didn't see anything that fit, except for 4 unidentified flies that were in the ballpark: here, here, here and here.

Wow, that was a ton of work!
Someone had to be first with this fly, and it looks like that was you. Hopefully, someday we'll have an expert to get these to species. (Hey, it's happened with bee flies.)

The wing venation is typical of a tachinid, and pleural bristles are apparent.

I'm no expert, but spikey orange thorax points to that.
