But can it roll over?

But can it roll over?
Tucson, Fort Lowell Park, Pima County, Arizona, USA
March 19, 2009
Size: ~5mm
I found this little darkling beetle under a picnic table in a ramada (shelter). I don't recall ever coming across such a small (roughly 5 mm) tenebrionid that "plays dead" like this when disturbed. It stays that way for a good long while, too. Imaged with a Canon PowerShot SD1000 (Elph) on auto, in macro mode. I believe the bluish color is an artifact of light, or lack thereof, not the true color of what looked to be a black insect.
