Sawfly - Dolerus nitens

Sawfly - Dolerus nitens
Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA
April 1, 2009
Size: 1 cm (w/o antennae)
Landed on the windshield of my car as I waited in traffic jam on S.E. 14th Street, a business artery in Des Moines. Virtually no natural habitat nearby except for lawns and yard trees of residences on blocks behind businesses.

(Tip of right antenna is missing on this specimen.)

Not an ID but
there are some Sawflies that I think look a bit like this (like Dolerus) but that may just be to my uneducated eye.

Second opinion
...from Cody Hough supports that suggestion (posted on my other image of this specimen: ).
The other photos in the Dolerus nitens gallery look identical to me. Thanks, John and Cody!
