has spoken, and I agree. I usually give the trichops to John to identify, unless I am curious.

 
Not Rhyacophila
I don't think this is Rhyacophila, which has a dorsal plate on abdominal segment 9. This looks more like a polycentropodid larva. Both families are predatory.
