Giant moth/locust/alien ??? - Pachylia ficus
Miami Beach, Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA

Size: 3 inch length
This creature was found around 9:00 am resting on an outside door. It flew around for a bit when disturbed and then flew off. It might be an alien species, none of my Florida friends have ever seen anything like it before.

not an expert but...
Please take a look at the Fig Sphinx ([/i]Pachylia ficus[/i]) moths.
