Many of the more coastal populations of T. davisi seem to be slightly larger and more brightly colored. Individuals from more inland populations are often darker and slightly smaller.

In discussing this trend with a friend at UF in Gainsville, he agreed that although not an absolute, there was a tendency for this to be true.
