T. walkeri populations are scattered across much of the Mississippi Basin, but usu. not as common in the southern part of the range as it is northward.

Populations in Louisiana are often characterized with an elaborate pattern on the mesonotum, duller yellow-greens and more pronounced black pigmentation.

According to personal observations and sources, this specimen is typical of T. walkeri in much of Louisiana. The pattern on the pronotum is a feature that also occurs frequently in populations west of the Mississippi River and across much of the Great Plains.

Although I have never observed this trait in eastern populations, larger series from many localities may be necessary to more adequately address these observations.
