White moth - Estigmene acrea

when I took the frost covers off the tomatoes this white moth with fuzzy head was on one of the stems. Does anyone know what it is. Is it likely to lat eggs on my tomatoes?

Possibly 8131 - Estigmene acrea
.... if I am correct this is the Saltmarsh Caterpillar Moth. It is somewhat misnamed because the larvae eat much of what might be found in the garden, including at least some of the nightshade family (in which tomato is found).

Thanks Bob. I must check to see if he flew away when it warmed up. I already saw some kind of hornworm on the tomatoes.

He's flown the coop. However I did a little research and now I know what the caterpillar looks like. He's a furry one.
