Might be -
Acanthepeira stellata (Starbellied Orbweaver)? It looks like it might get that far west according to our info. page...

Checked out the info page for this species and it's range includes AZ, the only species of the genus in AZ.

This one is such a good visual match (and the photos are excellent) that I think it might be safe to move to species page? Perhaps wait a few days for other comments and then consider moving to the guide page?
