Long-necked Ground Beetle - Colliuris pensylvanica

Long-necked Ground Beetle - Colliuris pensylvanica
Powhatan County, Virginia, USA
April 11, 2005
Can anyone ID a species? - Thanks

pennsylvanicus
That's the only Colliuris species listed in Dillons.

tricky resource
Don't have access to my copy of Downie & Arnett here in the city to compare, but I'm always wary of Dillon, as useful a resource as it is. They miss many species, including some not-so-uncommon ones, and often the taxonomy has changed so much that, say, what they list as one species has split into two.

Thanks
Thanks for your help!
