Tom - I had another look at t
Tom - I had another look at this particular shot and compared its head to the pallipes in the collection. This is the similar species cinctus, and at 10mm its on the line for either species (11-12mm is more typical of pallipes). Sorry about this confusion, they are similar in photos!

Thanks for the id, and yes it was under bark, and rather lethargic from the cool weather.

This is Homaeotarsus cinctus,
Was this one found under bark? I've found this species under bark and also in the more typical riparian areas for Homaeotarsus. I wonder what it does while in wood....
