Bee fly - Villa fulviana

Bee fly - Villa fulviana
Top of Cadillac Mountain, Acadia National Park, Hancock County, Maine, USA
July 22, 2005
Size: 9-12 mm.
Bee fly on meadowsweet (Spiraea latifolia). I hope that somebody knows the genus.
It was so windy on top of the mountain that I couldn't get a decent picture all day and the bushes were jumping with all kinds of insects that I don't have pictures of. Frustrating to say the least!

Villa
This is a species of Villa, and looks like V. fulviana. See the guide page for identification information.

Thanks
I am delighted to see that it could be ID'ed to species.
