Longhorn Beetle Pupa - Monochamus titillator

Longhorn Beetle Pupa - Monochamus titillator
Leesburg, Lee County, Georgia, USA
April 7, 2009
Size: 23.4mm
Found this pupa under the bark of a dead pine tree at a 3+acre dump site for a tree company near Albany Ga. I was just going to ask for help in ID'ing it, but it seems to be doing so well that I hope to post an adult photo of it later. In the mean time, I am guessing it to be in the Longhorn family and will leave it at that unless someone can get more specific. Many thanks

How are you keeping this viable?
Doesn't it dry out when removed from where it came?

Longhorn Beetle Pupa
I am keeping it in a container filled with slightly moist frass and
putting it in a dark space on my book shelf.

Pupa
Thanks, don't have a clue why I wrote larvae, I didn't even use the
singular form eh!
