Size: half an inch or so
I found him(?) mid afternoon in my back yard, deep in the grass. Never seen anything like it before.

My grade could be affected if I mis-identify.

It's tough to tell.

If Z. longipes, it could have just molted, which might explain the off-color legs, rostrum, and antennae, and lack of black spots. Or it could simply be another species altogether.

I would leave it at Zelus sp. for now until someone that knows the Reduviids better sees it.
