Beetle - Paria

Beetle - Paria
Deville, Rapides Parish, Louisiana, USA
April 11, 2009
Size: ~5mm
Paria quadrinotata or something close is my best guess... Found on what I think is Red Clover (or at least clover with red flowers)

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I only got two shots of this guy before he flew away. The other image is worse :(

Crimson Clover
The plant in your photo may be Crimson Clover (Trifolium incarnatum).

Paria indeed; no opinion on sp :-/
