Fly on meadowsweet - Mallota - Male
Top of Cadillac Mountain, Acadia National Park, Hancock County, Maine, USA

Size: 8-11 mm.
So many insects, so little time! I should have spent several days on Cadillac Mountain and also waited for less windy conditions. There were so many insects on the flowers of meadowsweet!

Mallota?
Reminds me of a species of Mallota, but I'd like a second opinion:-)
