assassin nymph - Zelus renardii

assassin nymph - Zelus renardii
tucson, pima County, Arizona, USA
April 12, 2009
Size: 4 mm body
I found this near the same tree where I had previously found Reduviidae sinea: . Might this be a very early nymph stage?

Also, is the insect it is eating a small cicada?

Moved
Moved from nymphs.

New identification based on two sources (Fracker & Usinger, 1949; Swadener & Yonke, 1975) and this set of photographs.

Assassin nymph.
Annulated legs, spines on tip of abdomen lead me to think this is a nymph of Pselliopus. Some Zelus nymphs look similar, so I may be corrected eventually. Prey is a psyllid (very much like a tiny cicada:-). Awesome images as usual, don't know why I bother posting from Tucson (sigh:-).
