Soldier Beetle - Podabrus flavicollis

Soldier Beetle - Podabrus flavicollis
Konawa, Seminole County, Oklahoma, USA
April 10, 2009
Size: 8mm (5/16")
I have some images of genus Podabrus but this one doesn't have the black markings down the middle of the thorax. So, could this be Cantharis nigriceps? BugGuide range map shows them documented in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Tennessee but the genus Cantharis is also documented in Texas. So, I think it's probably not too far-fetched for Cantharis nigriceps to be in Oklahoma, or at least the genus Cantharis. I couldn't find any other range maps for Cantharis nigriceps.

Please help with ID.

must be Podabrus flavicollis LeConte
Moved from Podabrus.

good old Podabrus... or big fat?
