Basking antlion
Tucson, Greasewood Park, Pima County, Arizona, USA

I was surprised to find this antlion out in the open on a ridge overlooking the Pima Community College West Campus. Normally, antlions seem to prefer clinging to grasses during the day. Imaged with a Canon SX10 IS in "auto" mode with the "macro" function.
