White Roach - Arenivaga McAllen, Texas, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA April 12, 2009 Size: 1-1/2 inches long
Is it true that all white roaches are simply new hatchlings? I discovered this transluscent beauty, not creepy at all like her brethren, while rooting around the base of a rose bush, checking the moisture of the soil.(I don't really know that this critter is a female, she just seems to be, she's so delicate looking). I'm going to be so disappointed if this lovely little creature is actually going to evolve into an ordinary common brown roach. I've included two "cartoon" versions, just to highlight her range of colors. Somebody please tell me she's going to stay beautiful her whole life!
