Note the left and right shoes on the anterior of the pronotum.
Found on a shamrock (Oxalis regnellii) leaf about 3 inches above ground.
First record in Alabama on BugGuide for this bug.

Elf shoe Stink Bug
I see them. They look like elf or peter pan shoes.

Absolutely!
I have added a zoomed image of the "Elf shoes" part of the pronotum so that other observers will know we are not dreaming. This should be a unique characteristic of this species.
