Monochamus titillator - female

Monochamus titillator - Female
Leesburg, Lee County, Georgia, USA
April 16, 2009
Size: 24mm
Found this beautiful creature dead in her habitat this morning. All that effort to get
through the pupa stage. Adult size was 24.0mm. Saw many discussions on other previous
submissions talking about elytral aspicies to distinguish M. titillator from
M. carolinensis. I will include a photo to see if is clear enough to ID this one as
M. titillator as Dr. Thomas suggested.
