Mysterious spider - Tegenaria agrestis

Mysterious spider - Tegenaria agrestis
Newberg, Oregon, USA
August 3, 2005
Size: Size of a silver dollar.
This spider was very fast....it took off when I tried to take it outside. My husband is a bit of an arachnophobe, so I needed to get rid of it. It took off in a flash, and it is roaming our house somewhere now. I'd like to know if this is a species that should be avoided.
