Taxonomy
It would seem that the classification by which this genus is placed in Diapheromeridae is different than the one BugGuide uses, which places Diapheromera in Heteronemiidae. I'm not sure which system would be better to use--it would seem logical to follow what the Phasmid Study Group does, but that website is loading painfully slowly for me right now. I suppose I should bring this up in the Taxonomy Proposals forum at some point.
