Looks like a million-times-better photo of the same species I found on wild lettuce in September:

My nephew says it looks like the Pokemon character Pikachu. I hope someone can ID your excellent images, there's a better chance of that than someone ID'ing my tiny blurry one :-)

I'm sure someone will come along and ID this aphid. They are quite a diverse group as I'm finding different looking ones quite often, even in the small area I frequent.
