giant stonefly exuvia - Pteronarcys

giant stonefly exuvia - Pteronarcys
Puyallup, Pierce County, Washington, USA
April 20, 2009
Size: 35 mm
Found near the Puyallup River on a log.

Moved
Moved from Stoneflies.

Pteronarcys
Probably californica, though dorsata would be hard to rule out. These are pretty easy to ID by the large size, short cerci, and distinctive windpad/pronotum shapes (as well as the location of the gills).

Thanks
I brought it home and measured it yesterday. It is 35 mm.
