Neophilaenus lineatus (Linnaeus 1758)

Identification

The pale wing edge and the outer anteapical cell smaller than the inner one are diagnostic. Also the tip of the head does not have the pair of black spots characteristic of the meadow spittlebug.

native to, and widespread across the Palaearctic(2), adventive in NA (Canada, ne. US)(3)
