Some very similar caterpillars in the guide are ID'ed as Arctiidae.

Arctiidae
Yes, Estigmene, Spilosoma, Arctia, and more. But we have a difficult time separating them out. We look forward to the comments you get on this one. Do you have more photos and a size estimate?
