Beetle - Tiny or Immature ?

Beetle - Tiny or Immature ?
48.16357N 53.96664W (WGS84), Clarenville, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland/Labrador, Canada
April 26, 2009
Size: 1 mm body length
Found by doing a 'blind sweep' of some grass with a plastic bowl. This was caught in the bowl. I'm not sure what that white stuff is all over the 'bug'. It looks like some ort of powder in the photos. It was too small to tell anything for certain with the naked eye. The Collecting bowl I used was clean, so I'm not sure how this suff got on the 'bug'.

Beetle - Tiny or Immature ? Beetle - Tiny or Immature ?

Corticariinae
There is no such thing as ‘immature beetles’: their young are grubs [=larvae]. Any beetle that looks like a beetle is an adult and grows no more.

Thank you...
...for both the ID and for your patience with me. Maybe I can claim a "senior's moment" for suggesting an immature beetle. I feel that I should have known better than that by now. Thanks for clarifying this point though. There's so much fascinating stuff but this also means there is so much to remember.
