I keep seeing these in my house - Reduvius personatus
Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
Size: about 1 inch

Have they been found in Ohio
I was at a friends house in the garage and a bug much like this one was on the table. My wife freaks out about insects so I picked it up to toss it out thinking it was a water bug. Much to my surprise it jabbed me under my fingernail. This was quite painful at that. I have not seen this type of insect. So, my concern is shoul I have anything to worry about????? The garage is located in a wooded area.

Reduvius Personatus
I believe this to be Reduvius Personatus, an assassin bug. My wife was bitten earlier this year by one. Very painful, but not highly toxic. Be careful.

Masked Hunter
I believe this is the Masked Hunter. They can bite if mishandled, but are not known to carry any diseases, or to bite humans intentionally.
