Identification
Ten black stripes and irregular punctures on the pale yellow elytra. (Regular punctures indicate False Potato Beetle (2).)

Larva has two rows of black spots on each side. Falso Potato beetle larva has one row of black spots.

Potatoes and related plants. (1)
Remarks
Before the introduction of the potato in the US this beetle was confined to Colorado and neighboring states feeding on some native species of Solanum (night shade), now it has spread to most potato growing areas.
It has been transported to Europe where it has become a serious pest.
